Workation
Relocate your home office to a place with guaranteed sea breezes or mountain air: With us, you can work from abroad worldwide for up to 120 days a year. Within the EU, you can spend up to 60 consecutive calendar days working from a location of your choice – and up to 30 days outside the EU. So you can extend your vacation or visit family and friends far away. Mental health and a good work-life balance are important to us. For this reason, work and vacation are not opposites at TIMOCOM - we combine both. During your workation you are automatically covered by travel insurance, because your health is important to us!
"At TIMOCOM, vacation and work are not mutually exclusive! Thanks to Workation, our employees can work abroad for up to 120 days a year. Our TIMOs have worked abroad for over 5000 days so far"

Yasin enjoying his workation at the Black Sea
Yasin loves to spend his workation in Turkey:
“Being able to work from Turkey as part of a workation didn’t just allow me to connect my family roots with my professional life — it also helped me strengthen relationships with customers in the region. The direct exchange with local business partners opened up new perspectives and enriched my work. I really value that TIMOCOM supports flexible working models, creating space for both personal growth and new business opportunities.”
Raysa in Brasil
"Workation has completely changed the way I experience both work and travel. As a Brazilian living in Germany, trips home always came with a bittersweet feeling: the joy of being with my family, but also the reminder of the limited vacation days left to explore other parts of the world. That’s no longer the case—now I can spend quality time with my family every year while working for a few weeks under the sunny skies of Rio de Janeiro.
But that’s not all: the flexibility to combine work and longer stays has also given me the chance to dive deeper into local life in places like Japan, Indonesia, the Baltic States, the Nordics, and Southern Europe. These experiences have shaped me both personally and professionally. Being in regular contact with other cultures constantly broadens my perspective and strengthens my ability to adapt to new situations, approaching challenges with empathy and creativity. This not only inspires me but also empowers me to do my best work—and for that, I’m truly grateful! #keepgrowing"
Workation with colleagues? Why not?
Enver spent his workation in Portugal together with colleagues:
“Surrounded by beautiful landscapes and the relaxed atmosphere of a finca, our team — made up of colleagues from different departments — didn’t just work on exciting projects. We also played padel together, enjoyed delicious BBQ evenings, explored the Algarve, and had an amazing time.
When people think of a workation, they often picture idyllic beaches and productive workdays under palm trees. But what happens when adventure calls in the form of a car breakdown in the middle of rural Portugal? That’s when we realized that true teamwork goes far beyond calls and to-do lists — it’s about finding solutions together, whether on the court or by the roadside.”
